A shout-out today to one of my favorite short films of all time: Live at the Necropolis: The Lords of Synth (2016), which aired on Adult Swim.
This takes place in some kind of demented alternate universe in which “Xangelix,” “Morgue Zoroger” and “Carla Wendos” battle for synth dominance as they pay tribute to Halley’s Comet. Oh, and your host is announcer Edgar Tangram, Polyharmonics Expert.
Yes, some very deep cuts here in sending up the pretentiousness of the electronica music genre (and its overlap to film scores).
Enjoy! And remember—“There is only one hope for humanity...the synthesizer.”
