I only now realized that the short-lived, live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop on Netflix actually had two separate Yoko Kanno albums released.
Besides the 25-track CD (or is it 26?) there was a double-LP set on Milan with a lot more music.
Usually I provide links, but honestly all these different variations and editions are so confusing, I give up.
At least in the old days, when a 95-minute John Williams soundtrack was released on a 40-minute LP that left off tons of good music—at least there was only one version to keep track of.
I will never forgive the creators of the Netflix show for taking one of the most wonderful, transcendent anime series of all time and turning it into dick jokes.
But the fact that we got a whole other Yoko Kanno Cowboy Bebop soundtrack out of it is looking like more and more of a good deal.
