I have yet to see The Fabelmans—I hear it’s great—but I did see the David Lynch cameo as John Ford near the end. Apparently this was a true story that happened to young Spielberg:
As you can see, the real John Ford was, in contrast, a warm, talkative, delightful human being. I am kidding—he was a prick:
On the other hand, I never thought David Lynch would become this pop culture icon, but I’m glad he has:
He does a daily weather report, did you know? (I guess he does it when time allows.) And he apparently picks a daily number.
Also, for the record, I’ve come to like his Dune!
