Last Week’s Eclipse


I didn’t realize what a big deal last week’s eclipse was. We only got a little bit of shade in the L.A. area, and I experimented with poking holes in paper to see the crescent shadows (above).


Some of the videos are absolutely incredible:

I remember a partial eclipse my senior year of college which must have been this one. It got pretty dark in the late morning and was really cool.

It is humbling how long the cosmos lasts compared to our short lives!

I experienced totality last week at the center point. It was an absolutely mind blowing experience. It got pitch dark so quickly. Then you could see stars and planets and plasma on the sun. Mind blowing experience I'll never forget.
