The Beatles have released what is their final, absolute last song, “Now and Then.”
Like a lot of people (even, it seems, the surviving Beatles) I have mixed feelings. It is a little ghoulish to have Zombie John Lennon’s A.I.-enhanced voice (and George Harrison’s guitar) playing alongside the living Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
And while I quite like the song, in the vast catalog of John Lennon music, it’s a C-level demo.
On the other hand, you hear those voices—and it really is the Beatles.
And God, how we love them.
The Peter Jackson music video is quite lovely:
Here’s a short film about making the song:
Farewell, truly, to the greatest band of all time.
In the music video, they have an old George Harrison looking as old as Ringo and Paul. Did he live to be that old? I always thought he died young(ish). Or did they age him to make it look like he was in the room?
Agree I think they were talking about releasing it awhile ago weren't they raw i believe the video was interesting I wonder how everyone felt about it
