We are getting into compiling the Best of FSM 35th Anniversary book (and writing some new pieces) and I pulled up the very first FSM newsletters—or the “Soundtrack Correspondence List” as I initially called it.
I was still 15 when I put these together in spring of 1990. I just can’t believe how long ago this was:
“Goldsmith is tuning up Total Recall and Gremlins 2—sounds good!”
“John Barry will score Dances With Wolves.”
“Alan Silvestri has done Back to the Future III (he did the first two).”
Did I have a time machine? Was this really me?
