CDs in Stock Part 36

Onto the T titles:

I’m always interested in TV compilations for the off chance they have a rare theme I love, or a bizarre cover that amuses. Full of the latter category is this French compilation, T.V.? Mais Oui! by an outfit called The Melody Four. Here’s one of the wacko renditions, below. Only $5. Track list.

We have two copies of the FSM Take a Hard Ride and one of the La-La Land, $18 and $20, respectively. Fantastic Goldsmith western!

We have a copy of the FSM Taking of Pelham One Two Three (the second version) by David Shire, $15.

We have a copy of the original album version of Taxi Driver by Herrmann on Arista, $10.

I wrote about Spartacus yesterday, that we have a copy of the box set on hand and I’m shocked it hasn’t sold already. Same for The Ten Commandments by Bernstein. We have a copy of the Intrada box set, we’re asking $245. It’s $399 on eBay right now! All I can assume is that the loyal fans who wanted this for decades already have it, and the few who needed it who follow this blog and my store already grabbed one of the earlier copies?

The Ten Tenors released an album called Here’s to the Heroes, the title track being a vocal version of the Dances with Wolves theme by John Barry. We have the 2CD special edition for $8.

We ended up with a bunch of copies of the Universal France release of Tess/The Tenant by Sarde. Tess is one of my all-time faves. We have the digipak for $12 and the jewel box for $15.

We have a couple of punched copies of Michael J. Lewis’ fantastic score to Theatre of Blood, on La-La Land, $35. Now this is a great tune:

We have the Quartet edition of The Thing (John Carpenter) by Morricone, $25. Also the remake score by Beltrami on Varèse, $15.

I remember being really tickled by the Mark Mothersbaugh score for Thor: Ragnarok when I saw the offbeat film. We have a drilled copy of the Hollywood CD, $8.

One of the most in-demand Intrada CDs of recent years is Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines by Ron Goodwin. We have a copy for $95.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri is a typically excellent and sensitive Carter Burwell score to the fine film. We have the Varèse CD, $8.

We have a bunch of assorted Thunderbirds titles, both the original and various remakes. Check out this page at the store.

We have a copy of the FSM The Time Machine CD by Russell Garcia. Love this film and score! $35. We also have a bunch of copies of the recent reissue of the re-recording, $15. But seriously, get the original:

We have A Time of Destiny by Morricone on Quartet, $25.

Time of the Wolf is an excellent symphonic John Scott score on his JOS label, $25.

We have several sealed copies of the La-La Land Time Tunnel vol. 1 collection for only $25. Great Johnny Williams theme and pilot score to kick off the 3CD set.

We’ll do the rest of the Ts tomorrow—thanks!

[Pushes glasses up] Technically, the Beltrami-scored Thing is a prequel, not a remake.
