Empire Strikes Back Bespin Dirge

Whoa! Another one of my all-time favorite cues: “Luke Pursues the Captives” by John Williams from The Empire Strikes Back.

The harmony to the “Bespin dirge” always fascinated me but I didn’t have the musical experience to understand exactly what the harmonies were. Here it is!

And then there’s that fantastic transformation of Yoda’s theme into Luke’s action music.
