I am sorry to hear of the passing of Jonathan Kaplan, director of The Accused and a number of noteworthy films, and son of composer Sol Kaplan. Variety obituary here.
He was a guest fairly recently of The Goldsmith Odyssey podcast which I need to listen to. He worked with Goldsmith on Love Field and Bad Girls.
And I'm going to plug a good follow-up, in which Jonathan Kaplan talks with his friends, Joe Dante and Josh Olsen, ostensibly about his favorite movies, but it's really just a fun conversation. And I only say 'follow-up' because he went through his career with us, so it's easier to know the references in this one. It's friends talking, so there's no need to give context, you see.
