Farewell to Mark Snow

What a rough couple of weeks. We’ve lost Mark Snow, composer of The X-Files and so much more. Here’s the Variety obituary.
He was a gifted musician, endlessly productive and versatile, with an unerring dramatic sense. His career went back to the dance-band style TV scores of the 1970s and ’80s but he reinvented himself as one of the top synthesist/home studio composers.
I remember going to his house once for an FSM piece (probably for the first X-Files movie) and found him gracious and warm. I don’t know why I remember this but there was something about his friendly grin that reminded me of Bruce Willis?
Now we’re in a world minus Lalo Schifrin and Mark Snow...so sad...

We have five days left in our 35th Anniversary Kickstarter and thank you all for the support.
I am working with the web guys on the new site and I don’t know when we’ll be able to reveal it, but fortunately I had enough confidence in the Kickstarter to front them the first chunk of their money a couple of months ago. So they’ve already been working.
The campaign ends at the end of the day Thursday 7/10 and we are trying to get to our stretch goal of $50,000.
Thank you!
