Film Noir at Paramount

I am very glad to see that La-La Land Records has reissued half of the Double Indemnity: Film Noir at Paramount album that I produced for Intrada some years back, and which is now long out of print.
They’ve included the two best scores, Friedhofer’s Ace in the Hole and Rózsa’s Double Indemnity, along with the shorter excerpts available from Desperate Hours (Kubik) and Union Station (Roemheld).
I am fond of these films, having taken a film noir class at college way back in the fall of 1992. It’s strange to think the films were roughly fifty years old at that time. Now, a fifty-year-old movie is Star Wars!
I'm eager for my copy to arrive! I'm a big Friedhofer fan, and I'm grateful to you for your work on this and other collections showcasing his work.
