Getting There

You can expect to see daily progress on improving the message board. I know it’s frustrating when things don’t work. Nobody is more frustrated than I am, because I’m responsible for it all and took YOUR money on our Kickstarter to make it work.

But we will get this resolved, I promise!

One thing I want everybody to keep in mind please: When we went out to various web companies to get a quote on making a new message board, the idea of saving our 25 years’ worth of posts was almost laughed at. We were quoted $80K, $100K as a starting point to take the old database (because that’s what the board is, a database) and conform it to a new, modern board.

I don’t want to go into our budget, but given that we took in $65K via the Kickstarter (which has fees deducted, and has to pay for the Ray Ellis CD, Best of FSM book, collector cards, etc.) what we’re spending is way less.

So it’s actually a minor miracle that we’re getting a new board with all of the old posts saved.

We’ll have all the functionality working again soon, and the presentation improved too.
