I finished Tim Greiving’s John Williams biography and congrats on a magnificent job. It’s what I wanted from the book: comprehensive, fair-minded, well written and insightful.

I think the biggest thing it answers for me is about Williams’ ultra-articulate, humble and soft-spoken interview presence: is it just an act for the cameras?

And the answer is no—that really is him.
