Kickstarter Final Week

Our FSM 35th anniversary Kickstarter is in the final week—it ends Thursday night at 11:59 PM Pacific time, 7/10/25.
For me this is fraught with paranoia that I’m going to be short finances later this year and need to do everything possible to get the word out—along with the very real fear that I’m over-saturating our very loyal and patient audience.
So what can I say? Sorry? Thank you? How about both!
We are trying to get to our stretch goal of $50,000—and you know how I said in recent columns it was because web programming inevitably is more expensive than you think it will be? Well, sorry to say I was already right: it will be another $3K to finally fix the endless speed problems on our used CD site, www.fsmcds.com. The original hosting company used plug-ins that just aren’t working and need to be replaced with custom-written code.
Please don’t worry, this is part of the budget of the $50K—we’ll be fine! I just want to offer some transparency as to why we’re setting that goal.
If you’ve already contributed—thank you! And if you haven’t, please check out the Kickstarter campaign and see if a tier makes sense for you. I never want anybody to buy something they don’t actually want or can’t afford. But every little bit helps!
We’re also back up and running with FSMCDs.com and have nearly 5,000 items in stock. Here is the spreadsheet of inventory, also including a bunch of classical, some Blu-Rays and rare film music books. You can make notes on the Google sheet and then visit www.FSMCDs.com to place your order.
Thank you everybody and I’m so looking forward to launching the new site!
