Kickstarter First Day

Our 35th anniversary of Film Score Monthly Kickstarter has launched and we’re truly grateful for the excellent day-one support. Thank you!
I did get a few requests for a tier that was solely the Best of FSM book and the new Ray Ellis Filmation CD, so I have created that in the campaign.
We are already more than halfway to our $25,000 goal, which is incredible. But here’s the thing...I set a low goal on purpose because, much like Indiana Jones, we’re making this up as we go.
$25K will pay for the new website, but not the perks. I figured if we only did $25K, I’d have to sell enough of the perks after-the-fact to pay all the bills.
So this is a roundabout way to announce that our stretch goal, and probably what should have been the “real” goal all along, is $50,000. Which I think we can do!
But let me be clear: we will deliver everything that we promise, no matter what. I’m operating FSMCDs.com to sell used soundtrack CDs, and I can re-route those proceeds to cover whatever I have to cover.
This is incredibly gratifying and exciting and I am always touched to see names on the donor list that go back to the early days of FSM in the 1990s. Thank you!
Please donate if you can, and also, if you can help spread the word on social media, that’s something that we can all do for free—and it truly does help.
Onward!
