It’s our final week of the Kickstarter to record a new album of James Horner’s early 1980s TV movie scores, and I’m proud to announce a new partner:
The album will be distributed and coproduced by my friends at La-La Land Records!
This is a perfect match: I no longer have the infrastructure to handle the distribution and administration of soundtrack releases, while La-La Land (recently featured in The New York Times) has released hundreds of incredible original soundtrack recordings—but not yet embarked on a newly commissioned recording, as we are attempting to do with Leigh Phillips and his team in Prague.
I have known MV Gerhard and Matt Verboys forever, and have happily collaborated with them on a great number of projects, particularly the mammoth Star Trek: The Original Series box set.
So I’m so excited to be moving forward with them!
But first—we have to make our goal! We are approaching $32,000 and have to raise $45,000 by 11:59PM Thursday night, Pacific time, May 21, 2026.
This will be tight!
If you have contributed already—THANK YOU! Please consider sharing the link on your social media? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/skyfighter/james-horner-television-music-recording?ref=user_menu
If you have not—please do! You can basically pre-order the digital album for $15 or the CD for $25.
Thank you for all of your support...and now, please excuse me while I go all over the Internet to promote this!
