We’ve made enough progress processing the Douglass Fake collection to commit to a sale date on the calendar: Monday, March 31, 2025, 10AM Pacific.
I’ve had my eye on this date for at least a month because it’s the week of spring break. My family will be out of town visiting relatives and I can take over the house with tables of CDs. They will be in the kids’ room, the kitchen—everywhere!
PLEASE NOTE! To get an extra day of shipping time while the fam is gone I am doing this sale Monday morning, not the customary Tuesday.
So that’s our plan and frankly there’s no way to do this sale when the family is here. We will be racing to alphabetize, “Q/C” (replace broken cases) and type up the listings—and I have every confidence we’ll be done in time.
As promised, I have engaged our web hosting company to do significant work at the same time so our website can handle the traffic. I am so sorry about the timing-out and delays people have experienced in the past.
In the meantime, we still have a lot of cool and interesting stuff from the Paul Scannell collection as well as the other collections we have taken in the past year. Here is an updated spreadsheet of the stock, which you can use to make notes and then buy at www.fsmcds.com.
We have quietly added another lot of film music-related books, which you can find all in the same area on the site and list, prefix BOOK. There’s a copy of A Neglected Art by Roy Prendergast signed David Raksin book in there, by the way.
So we welcome your orders, and I’ll be sending out an email blast so everybody knows the details shared here.
Thank you for supporting the store—and sharing our love of this music.
