New FSM CDs Added

First of all—Patrick Stewart. OMG. So sorry to hear the terrible news. What a week. More on his magnificent life and career when I can put it together.

I have added around 1,100 new listings to FSMCDs.com. As everybody knows I like to give people a heads up, and I was planning on doing the “drop” this Tuesday, but it is so nutty here that for a bunch of reasons it’s best if I just post them now. You’ll find a nice variety of premium titles, budget classics and weird promos. Here is a spreadsheet.

One note about a lot of the titles added today: the previous owner has painstakingly created his own FSM-styled spines for numerous titles. These are placed (NOT adhered) inside the case, and we’ve chosen to leave them. You can easily remove them if you wish—or if you want us to do that, just put a note in the order.

Coming up: More CDs! Just when I think, well, we’ve run out of stuff to sell, I get a call asking me to sell more. What am I going to do, say no?

We definitely have another 3,000+ from two sources to post in November, and then more from Richard Kraft’s collection. It’s wild.

We are also working on finishing the James Horner Kickstarter album for release by La-La Land Records hopefully by the end of the year. Jon Burlingame is writing the liner notes right now.

Finally, I am writing my first piece for FSMOnline in many years—coverage of the upcoming movie Behemoth! by Tony Gilroy, starring Pedro Pascal as a classical cellist taking stock of his life. It’s an extraordinary movie set in the world of Hollywood scoring with contributions by nine composers. I have been conducting interviews to learn of the unique way the soundtrack was put together.

So there’s a lot going on—including all the listing, packing and shipping of your CD orders. I hope this isn’t too abrupt to just drop new listings on the Friday before Halloween—if it is, I won’t do it again!

But on that note, have a safe and fun Halloween. Thank you!
