Paper Archives

Thank you to everybody who has contributed to the FSM 35th anniversary Kickstarter! It is going great and will continue through the end of day, July 10th.

It’s “go” time for us and we will get the new website built—and the new CD and Best of FSM book—done by late fall. It’s going to be a lot of work and every little bit on the Kickstarter helps.

I took care to scan our voluminous paper archives around ten years ago. We had seemingly endless bankers’ boxes of the stuff—production files from the magazines and CDs—and I couldn’t afford to keep paying for a storage unit. But I did buy a scanner and methodically scanned everything before I tossed it.

Above is a “blast from the past” that collectors will remember from the 1990s: the monthly Screen Archives Entertainment catalog. Appointment reading to check those new releases!

I have files and files of pdfs of this stuff and if we can, it will be fun to make a “paper archive” on our new website so people can revisit the era.

By the way, our old FSM address on the mailing label on the scan—that was our office around 1998–99. And that building is in The Satan Bug! I told the story here.
