Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was released 41 years ago, yesterday (June 4th). This seems insane.
Okay, Trekkies, here’s a way to spend half your morning: evidently there is a workprint of Star Trek II at UCLA, a videotape that was sent to the company cutting the trailer (it ends at the shot of Spock’s empty chair, to avoid leaking the ending).
Some enterprising fan recorded some of the audio of various missing and altered bits from the finished film, which you can find here on Reddit.
