Hooray! One of my favorite John Williams setpiece cues is now on YouTube as piano reduction by “leibniz154”: “The Basket Game” from Raiders of the Lost Ark.
When I was a kid we had a piano in the house and although I didn’t take lessons, I enjoyed plinking out my favorite film themes (usually by John Williams) by ear.
But his comic/chromatic pieces always gave me trouble with their twisty melodies—not only this, I remember, but Lex Luthor’s Theme. And they still do, in fact.
So much fun!
