We Broke the Server

A postscript to the horrendous website crash we suffered when we launched the Douglass Fake sale...turns out we really broke the server.

I had warned the hosting company innumerable times that traffic would be heavy, but, well, evidently I wasn’t persuasive enough.

They told me that the web traffic was so intense it not only paralyzed the FSMCDS.com site, but everything else that was on that server. They were looking at the numbers and thought it must have been a spam attack. I explained, “No, just soundtrack collectors.”

They have since put FSMCDS.com on its own dedicated server, which unfortunately costs quite a bit more, but it’s what we have to do going forward.
