Alien Earth Kids

I just want to say one thing about Alien: Earth. It’s a beautifully produced show. There’s a ton of cool stuff.
But there’s one thing baked into the premise that is so irritating (mild spoiler): the “hybrids” are the minds of terminally ill children put into android bodies. So they’re basically kids. And, well, kids don’t know anything.
There are all these plot machinations of corporations battling each other—but the weak link, of course, are these dumb kids.
So it kinda ends up being an “idiot plot,” as defined by British sci-fi author James Blish: a plot “kept in motion solely by virtue of the fact that everybody involved is an idiot.”
Love “the eye,” though.
