CDs in Stock Part 3

We have one copy of the expanded La-La Land Amistad by John Williams for $25. Also the original album for $3.

In the field of “soundtrack adjacent” is the lovely Dave Grusin and Lee Ritenour album, Amparo, for only $5.

We have an obscure early 1990s Goldsmith score, Angie, on Varèse Sarabande for $15. An action score it is not! But just a heads up that the copy we’re selling has those promo markings: a promo stamp on the cover and the barcode scratched.

In fact, this is a good time to mention that we have a COMPLETE set of all 12 Varèse Sarabande LP-to-CD reissues in the red box. I see somebody is selling it on Amazon for $129.99...oh yeah? Well we can beat that, now ours is $115.

We have a copy of Aquaman for $35. Remember when “James Cameron’s Aquaman” was a joke on Entourage, which I’m embarrassed to say I used to watch? Because it was something that if you heard “Aquaman,” you’d think it sucks—but if James Cameron was doing it, maybe it would be kinda cool?

Classic Goldsmith alert! We have one copy of the out-of-print Archer/Warning Shot Jerry Goldsmith CD from La-La Land for $25. Twangy 1970s synths!

Here’s a terrific album that David Shire recorded for Bay Cities back in the day, At the Movies, with his catalog of themes arranged for small chamber group. I remember Nick Redman grousing about this 30 years ago that people didn’t give it its due, because they wanted a full orchestra (which they couldn’t afford, of course). We have two copies, sealed and used, each for only $5.

A highlight was the rendition of The Hindenberg with the female vocalise as David intended for the film, but they made him rescore it to eliminate the vocal:

A must for Elmer Bernstein fans is the Ava Collection 3CD set from Intrada, with his early jazz scores plus To Kill a Mockingbird. Out of print, but ours is only $45.

I’ll start on the Bs tomorrow. Enjoy your Sunday!
