We have a copy of the two-fer CD of classic Mancini albums, Breakfast at Tiffany’s/Arabesque, for only $3. Arabesque has one of Mancini’s classic “earworm” main titles, love it!
We have a copy of the best version of Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia, the Jerry Fielding/Sam Peckinpah project, on Quartet for $45.
We have a copy of Broadcast News by Bill Conti on Varèse Sarabande for $18.
We have two copies, here and here, of a unique album Bronislau Kaper did performing his classic themes on piano. Each is $5.
We have a copy of the expanded Elmer Bernstein swashbuckler, The Buccaneer, on Kritzerland for only $15.
Speaking of Bernstein, we have his rather obscure 1990s score, Buddy, on Varèse for $8.
The Burbs by Jerry Goldsmith just came out from Omni Music Publishing in full score—I love their books! We have three copies of the expanded La-La Land Records CD if you never picked it up, sealed, used and sealed, each only $18.
The Burbs is a rare case where the old, out-of-print editions go for a higher price, because they’re from the Varèse catalog (I guess). We have the very first, short Club CD for $25, and their Deluxe Edition for $45.
There aren’t many Billy Goldenberg scores available on CD, which is a shame. Busting on Kritzerland is an exception, which we have here and here, each for $12.
By Request is a John Williams/Boston Pops CD on Philips which we have for only $3. If you want to fill out your Williams collection with his Pops albums, we have them in stock often and they price out at only a few bucks.
We have the La-La Land Caboblanco (Goldsmith) for $18. We also have a CDR that was included with a late collector’s items, a clone of the Prometheus album. Yours for $1!
Cain’s Hundred is a Jerry Goldsmith crime TV score from the early 1960s, good stuff! There’s also a Morton Stevens episode score on the album. This was an FSM project, we have one copy for $20. Fun trivia: it’s a rare Goldsmith project where he was billed under his given name, Jerrald, to get his mom off his case.
I want to close today with a first-rate “blaxploitation” 2CD compilation that I had never seen before: Can You Dig It? The Music And Politics Of Black Action Films 1968–75. This one comes from Soul Jazz Records in the U.K. and has a 96-page book in a slipcase in addition to some “deep cuts” from the genre. Well worth $25!
More tomorrow—thanks!
