I’m glad people seemed to enjoy the story yesterday about the unreleased Predator/Die Hard CD from 1994.
I’m glad to provide some insight about these projects from days gone by, although it’s not always easy to track down the details...or enjoyable, sometimes, to think about aborted projects or frustrating personalities.
Just a quite note today to advise about some CDs that are still available at Screen Archives, but all we’re doing is selling off inventory—and these are down to under 100 copies:
ABOVE AND BEYOND
DEAD RINGER
DEADFALL
DIAMOND HEAD (“Johnny” Williams)/GONE WITH THE WAVE
HAWKINS ON MURDER/WINTER KILL/BABE (Goldsmith, under 35 left)
KHARTOUM/MOSQUITO SQUADRON
NOT WITH MY WIFE, YOU DON’T! (“Johnny” Williams)/ANY WEDNESDAY
PENELOPE (“Johnny” Williams)/BACHELOR IN PARADISE
ROOM 222/ACE ELI AND RODGER OF THE SKIES (Goldsmith, under 25 left)
SCARAMOUCHE
SEX AND THE SINGLE GIRL/THE CHAPMAN REPORT
THE GETAWAY: UNUSED SCORE (with documentary DVD)
THE LAST RUN/CROSSCURRENT/THE SCORPIO LETTERS (2/3rds Goldsmith)
THE LONG, LONG TRAILER/FOREVER, DARLING
THE SUBTERRANEANS
THE VIEW FROM POMPEY’S HEAD/BLUE DENIM (under 30)
THE WORLD OF HENRY ORIENT
TOYS IN THE ATTIC
UNTAMED (great Waxman score, under 25)
VALLEY OF THE KINGS/MEN OF THE FIGHTING LADY (only a handful left)
Thanks folks!
To this day I never dreamed I would have access to so many great film and TV scores available on CD. And HAWKINS ON MURDER is just one that I still enjoy beyond words. Thank you, Lukas.
The Subterraneans is such a great CD, wonderful jazz compositions and some of the best soloists working at the time, I really think this is one of FSM's essential CDs!
