Aliquippa is a famed township/"suburb" of Pittsburgh. The locale served as the basis for the town in the early Tom Cruise movie ALL THE RIGHT MOVES and has produced an astonishing number (per capita) of remarkable Americans. The book PLAYING THROUGH THE WHISTLE is all about Aliquippa -- and includes prominent reference to Mancini (who was born in Ohio but spent his formative years in Western Pennsylvania).
