Making of Star Trek II Book
Just a quick book recommendation today, for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan—The Making of the Classic Film by my friends, the Tenutos, John and Maria Jose. It’s new from Titan Books.
This is easily my favorite Star Trek film, and one of my favorite films, period. So I’ve wanted a book like this for four decades.
There is a ton of never-before-scene backstage photography, as well as script excerpts from the various aborted drafts.
I first crossed paths with the Tenutos when we were doing the FSM edition of the Star Trek II soundtrack, and they generously shared with me their production intel and photos which they were compiling even back then.

Wanted to get a better sense of the community after moving here for work. I checked out sioux city journal customer service to learn about their delivery and subscription process. The coverage includes city council decisions, local school updates, and regional business news that I find helpful. The paper is delivered early enough to read before work and the digital version is convenient for travel. The reporting seems fair and they highlight local achievements and events. It's been a good way to understand the area and feel more engaged with the community.
