Nightly Trek

I didn’t realize how much I had been relying on the nightly lineup of vintage Star Trek on the Heroes & Icons channel. Channel 20 in L.A., which was being carried on DirecTV, abruptly switched from H&I to other syndicated programming (a bunch of ancient westerns).

So I bought an antenna to watch digital channel 13.4 over-the-air, the new L.A. home of H&I and our beloved Star Trek. The picture quality isn’t as good, which is annoying, but I can still check out Kirk & co. at 8PM, and Picard at 9PM.

I don’t always watch it, but it’s so soothing to have as an option after the kids go to bed. TNG is presently in the early seasons, the most nostalgic for me, even though the first two are so inconsistent.
