Norm Macdonald Doc
I enjoyed the new Norm Macdonald documentary by Judd Apatow on Netflix.
I always thought he was hilarious and as people mention in the documentary, I’ve enjoyed going down the YouTube wormhole of his various talk show appearances.
The doc is a little...I don’t know what the best word is, opaque? It is truthful to the artist who seemed to enjoy scrambling people’s perceptions of him—not only keeping his illness secret, but flat-out lying about his age and biography. We never actually see his family talk about who he really was.
So he remains a mystery—albeit a very funny one. And I guess that’s the way he wanted it.
