Squid Game 2

I am loving Squid Game 2 which I have started watching on Netflix.

As with the Hunger Games sequels, it’s a heavy lift to get the character to play that deadly game again, but they manage it.

The hit franchise is another reminder to screenwriters: concept is king.

Like most of us outside Korea, this was my introduction to star Lee Jung-jae—he’s terrific! He seemed a little out of sorts in The Acolyte with the wig and English, but even there has such vulnerability and intensity.

I will enjoy watching the rest of the season.
