The Studio is really enjoyable.
This week’s episode had a reference to a series of “MKUltra” films, and I noticed the footage from the imaginary franchise was cribbed from the obscure superpowers film Push that I wrote about some time ago. So somebody else knows about it!
Yep, that was my first thought, too. I have seen that movie dozens of times, as it was an early acting work for Captain America (Chris Evans) and had so many great actors of that era in it: Djimon Hounsou, Corey Stoll, Dakota Fanning, and Camille Belle. So when I saw Seth Rogan claim it's for another real film franchise, I called it BS, as that movie was a one-off, even though they left a sequel possible. I'm glad to see someone else caught it, too.
