FSMCDs New Listings

UPDATE 9:45AM: The site is working but slow as molasses. What I have learned from our new hosting company is that the particular requirements I had for our site—namely, the spreadsheet-style display and the ability to reserve titles in shopping carts—needed plug-ins (programming) that slow everything to a crawl. So as soon as we’re through this sale, they are going to be looking at ways of replacing those plug-ins with better ones, and otherwise optimizing the programming so that the site is, you know, not infuriating. Thanks!

FSMCDs.com is back and online—and we’ve added around 600 new listings. There are some cool collector’s editions, “commons” at cheap prices ($1–5) and a whole lot of “film-adjacent” classical (Glass, Nyman, Shostakovich, Prokofiev, etc.).

You can go here for the spreadsheet of the inventory that is much easier to review and browse than the site itself. It’s good to use to make notes and then place the order at FSMCDs.com.

Just keep in mind that the Google spreadsheet does not update as items sell—so if you see something at the spreadsheet that you can’t find at FSMCDs.com, it’s because it already sold. (I will try to post an updated spreadsheet every morning.) New listings are first on the spreadsheet, followed by the existing titles. You can use the “find” function to look through it pretty easily, and sort by any column as well.

The inventory is over 5,000 listings in total. That includes some 1,600 CDs from the Douglass Fake collection (Intrada’s late and dearly missed founder), including a lot of rare Italian pressings: Dagored, Beat, Cinevox, Digitmovies, CAM, etc. There are also some rare film music books.

I wasn’t sure about announcing any new titles while our 35th anniversary Kickstarter is going on. The Kickstarter is going strong, approaching $40K, and I am trying to get to our stretch goal of $50K. This money will be used for web programming, our 35th anniversary book and CD projects, and new audio-visual content.

The reality is that everything helps us: whether it’s a Kickstarter contribution or a sale of the CDs that are, alas, presently in my living room (yup)—this is going to finance the next 6–12 months of our growth and projects.

Just a heads up that I am going on vacation July 12–19. FSMCDs.com will be live to take orders during that week, but we won’t be shipping anything. So rather than wait until the week of the 21st to sell the 600 new titles we got in stock, I figured I would do it now, in the lead-up to the close of our Kickstarter, which is 11:59PM Pacific time, Thursday, July 10, 2025.

Thank you all for your support! One last thing: if FSMCDs.com behaves weird, please email me at LukasKendallMV@gmail.com. I’ll do my best to help you personally, and we need reports of any issues so the webmaster can clean up the installation on the new server.

Thank you!
