I was very sad to learn that the great comic book artist George Pérez announced a pancreatic cancer diagnosis. He is truly one of the greats.
I do not fear many things, but I definitely fear pancreatic cancer. It got my stepfather, Herb Putnam, in 2008.
It is typically untreatable by the time it is detected.

Herb was diagnosed in 2005 and managed to survive two and a half years, longer than most.
Star Trek actor Jonathan Frakes lost his brother to pancreatic cancer and has been active in raising money for charity.
