Good Morning

Our website www.fsmcds.com is functioning normally now (as you can see) after the hosting company put it on a dedicated server midday yesterday.
A thousand apologies for the outages, frustration and anxiety yesterday during the initial hours when it crashed. The worst part of doing these sales are reading the comments from folks who missed out on prized items. It makes me not even want to do this anymore. But I’ll save plans for the future for another day.
Despite the website problems we had a monster day and now have close to 400 orders to ship out, many of which are on the large size...so this will take a while! (Maybe a week-plus, but not longer.)
We still have several thousand CDs from Doug’s collection—and thousands more from the other collections we’ve taken on—so I hope people continue to shop for more goodies.
It is always our standard policy, unless instructed not to, to combine orders and refund the excess shipping. So we will take care of you, I promise.
Here is a spreadsheet of the inventory as of this morning, 8:30 AM Pacific on (oh dear) April 1st. I usually don’t do this, but I have left in our internal “SKU” codes so you can see which items are the new ones from Doug Fake’s collection: they have the code DCF before the number. PCL are from the Paul Scannell collection in February.
One small thing: I didn’t even realize the website inventory is so large now it exceeds 100 pages, so the numbers at the bottom of the screen to jump to another page won’t even get you to the bottom of the alphabet. You can solve that by manually changing the number that appears in the URL: https://fsmcds.com/page/100/ —just change the 100 to the next number (101, 102) and hit return.
Okay, onward! And I am always available to you: LukasKendallMV@gmail.com.
Thanks!
Thanks for holding orders for unified shipping, Lukas. I should go out of my way to thank you for your efforts as, despite all the negative experiences and inability to ever get logged in timely enough to catch any items I really wanted, I did manage to pick up a few stray items that fill a need. I don't want you to perceive me merely as an ungrateful crank.
So. I figure this needs saying - sometimes I need my expectations checked.
Regardless of the technical issues, the bottom line is that thanks to your efforts, I've acquired many MANY soundtracks that I wouldn't have otherwise. It's gonna be an honor to add pieces from Douglass Fake's collection to my own. That wouldn't be happening without you Lukas. Thank you.
Does the automatic combined shipping hold even if we placed orders far apart from each other--say, yesterday evening, late last night, and this afternoon--as long as none of them have shipped yet? (p.s. Thanks for all your hard work on this mammoth project!)
I'm glad everything is fixed. I got stuck on the page number not going past 100 so couldn't figure out how to move to the rest of the inventory to get to the CD I wanted. Maybe next time.
Yesterday was rough going. I had gotten as far as the checkout page when the site crashed, and by the time it came back up hours later, everything reserved in my cart had timed out. My watchfulness paid off, though, and I caught the notice about site restoration within 10 minutes of your update, so I was able to get my most wanted titles back again. Whew! Thank you for sticking with it and getting the glitches ironed out. Now I can focus on anticipation of great new music!
