Klara and the Sun
I didn’t even know there was a movie called Klara and the Sun and that it already came and went. And that Taiki Waititi directed it, and recently called out critics for dumping on the movie.
I read the summary of the Kazuo Ishiguro novel and thought, that sounds good. I remember being really moved by the film version of Never Let Me Go. It struck me as an After Yang kind of thing, with a restrained tone.
I watched the Klara and the Sun trailer and well...this tone is not restrained. Oh boy.
